This Slovenian National Research Agency-sponsored project, The Photo of a Black Hole: Physics Meets Photography, explores black holes and photography as parallel “black boxes” of knowledge.

Both conceal as much as they reveal, producing images through processes that remain partly opaque to human understanding. Bringing together science, media history, and artistic practice, the project rethinks what it means to see — and what remains unseen — in the age of data-driven vision.
